Manufacturing is a highly complex activity, which is affected by many factors, from government policies to quality of raw materials. Seminole is focused on driving capabilities in advanced manufacturing. Our operations team is defining technological, organizational, social and environmental strategies that meet the goals of enterprises, society and governments, and adapt to change to meet the demands of information age and technological advances.

2012 Thirsty for challenge

A drive for innovation led to the acquisition of Jersey Specialty Company formerly located in East Longmeadow, MA. JSC serviced the electronics market and added variety to existing product lines. The business improved with UL certifications and implementation of Total Quality Management System targeting advanced manufacturing capabilities.

2010 Branching Out

Seminole company capitalized on its established brand and expanded to a new location in Pennsauken NJ. New quality and processing equipment was added contributing to comprehensive services:

  • Private Brand Customization
  • Supply Chain Management with access to marine ports, major railroads and interstate routes
  • Qualtiy testing laboratory with scientific, technical and design capabilities
  • Premium Product Research and Development
1998 Harvest

Jim's successful 35 year journey yielded bountiful results and unwilling to see his company in wrong hands , Jim sold the company to George Genzel. George, together with his wife and three sons, concentrated all their resources on expansion of production capabilities and market diversification. Janice Genzel assisted with administrative operations. George Genzel Jr took over the role of controller. Michael Genzel supervised production, research and development, quality and processing. Jeffrey Genzel assisted George Sr with sales and customer service.

In depth understanding of customer's needs allowed the business to expand market share and brand a product: Redline® Duplex Connecting Wire. Operations expanded into Glendora, NJ. Skilled and hard-working staff was hired, among them was George Genzel. With Jim's hands-on mentorship George became a plant manager. Successful operations team established essential traditions:

1962 Planted a seed

Seminole Products Company started in a garage by an entrepreneur named James McGrath. He had liminted resources but also a vision and relentless drive to succeed. Mining industry was growing a high demand for low-voltage, power supply wire which Jim targeted to service.
